Peter Clapperton
Peter is the founder and Director of Audio Visual People which was formed in 2005. Peter is an engineer by trade and was originally the Head Technician at the Great Lake Centre, Taupo before setting up his own business specialising in big screen rentals. The need to expand into audio became apparent due to the heavy demand for sound systems relating to sporting events around Taupo. Peter has built a large range of clients including Event Promotions who have a vast array of sporting events around the North Island such as Tough Guy and Gal Challenge, Rotorua Offroad, Rotorua to Taupo 100k flyer, NZ Home Loans, Building Officials Institute of New Zealand (BOINZ), Horse of the Year, Ironman, Taupo King of the Ring, Queenstown, Taupo, Whitianga Summer Concerts and more.
Dylan Sheehan
Dylan is our Operations Manager and has been working in the industry professionally since the age of 16 at the Bruce Mason Centre, Auckland where he first cut his teeth in lighting. Dylan is all things technical specialising in audio but can also work his way around lighting, video , digital screens and projection. The glue between the gaps he is responsible for ensuring all technical elements of the show are prepared and in place for each event.
Shaun Phillips
Shaun is our conference and sporting technician specialising in sound and video. Shaun has a background in musical theatre as a technician and also plays the bass in a local Taupo band. Shaun has worked on various events including the Taupo Rodeo Event, Kihikihi Horse Trials, BOINZ annual conferences, Tough Guy and Gal challenges, Ironman, Horse of the Year, South Pacific Musical and a variety of events at the Hilton Lake Taupo.
Sandra Clapperton
Sandra takes care of all things financial for AVP with a background in accounts having worked for local restaurants while raising the Clapperton clan in their earlier years. Sandra has her eye on the ball when it comes to looking after the company and is constantly on the lookout for ways to improve the company. Sandra manages our social media on Facebook and will soon be producing weekly blogs so you can keep up with our new endeavours in the company.
Cheyne Tweeddale
Cheyne is our Warehouse Coordinator always working hard to manage the preparation and loading of equipment for each event. Cheyne is one strong guy and can move heavy weight around the warehouse like it's nobody's business.
Jayden Hastie
Jayden is the newest addition to the AVP family having walked into our office looking for a job in the industry. Jayden has quickly proven himself to be a valuable asset to the team by accepting each challenge as it comes along and always working with a cheery disposition and big smile on his face. This is one kid who loves his job!
