Peter Clapperton - Director
Peter is the Founder and Director of Audio Visual People, which was formed in 2005. Before settling into the entertainment industry, Peter was a plastics engineer by trade in Hawkes Bay. Peter has been in the entertainment industry for over 35 years', where he has worked at the Great Lake Centre as both a technician and owner of his previous business, Big Screen Rentals, all before establishing AVP in Taupo. With Peters experience and positive attitude, there is no job that is too big or too small for AVP.
Sandra Clapperton - Co-owner
Sandra is the co-owner with Peter and takes care of all things financial for AVP. Sandra had several years experience working in the hospitality industry before taking on the accounts roll at AVP. Sandra is multitalented and has a passion for art, where she has had many exhibitions throughout her life. She is a very passionate person who enjoys putting her creative flare on all things within AVP.
Dylan Sheehan - General Manager
Dylan joined the AVP team in 2015 as the General Manager. With over 13 years' experience in the industry, Dylan began his career at the Bruce Mason Centre in Auckland as lead technician. Dylan has extensive knowledge in all aspects of the entertainment industry including audio, lighting, video, and LED screens. Although he is an all rounder, Dylan specialises in live audio, as our lead sound engineer he has mixed for the likes of House of Shem, Ardijah, Phil Madsen, 3 Houses Down, Hayley Westenra, Boney M, and more.
Chrystal Louise - Administration
Chrystal is one of our latest additions to the AVP family being involved in events since high school, her dedication to the arts as the Head of Technical Support flourished her interest in the industry. She has been well involved in events in the Eastern Bay of Plenty as part of an event management team and volunteering for events within Taupo. Chrystal moved to Taupo mid-2020 to develop her knowledge and dip her toes in the wedding/corporate industry before joining our administration team.
Jayden Hastie - Technician
Jayden joined the AVP family straight out of high school to work in the entertainment industry. He has worked on numerous events over the last few years, upskilling his knowledge of lighting, LED screen, and broadcasting. When it comes to technical issues, Jayden's brain is always active in finding solutions for any issue, whether it be big or small you can count on Jayden to get it done. Jayden can always be found working with a cherry disposition and a big smile on his face.
